Peter F. McGuire, MD, Medical Director

Dr. McGuire is the Medical Director and founder of the Oasis Health Center. Dr. McGuire became Medical Director in 1995. As well as volunteering as a physician in the medical clinics, he provides medical direction and guidance for all of the clinics and the prescription assistance program.

Denise is the Oasis Health Clinic Office Manager as well as the Community Prescription Assistance Coordinator (CPAP). She joined Oasis in July of 2005 managing CPAP.

Diana graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor's degree in nursing, and she also holds a certification as a Diabetic Outpatient Educator through the Rhode Island Department of Health. She also served as a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Nurse Corps.

Andreé Appel, PA, Pharmacy Coordinator

Andree is a volunteer practitioner at the Oasis Health Clinic. She conducts medical reviews and assists the medical director in patient care management. She also is part of the Oasis Management Group.

Terry Marcello, RN, Nurse Coordinator

Terry started as a volunteer at Oasis around 1995. Since the Fall of 2002 she's been co-clinical coordinator along with Gayle Hays, RN. She started all and still coordinates most of the specialty clinics and was trained as Care Manager for the depression clinic through The Maine Health Consortium.

Gayle Hays, RN, Nurse Coordinator

Gayle started volunteering once a month at the Oasis Clinic in 1994. In 2001 she began as the nurse co-coordinator of the Adult Care Clinic on Tuesday nights and today is working most every Tuesday. She covers the specialty clinics as needed and is also a member of the Oasis Management Team.

Amy Berube, MSW, Social Work Coordinator

Amy began volunteering monthly at the OASIS Clinic in 2005 while still in graduate school at USM. After receiving her MSW degree and state license as a LMSW, she began working at CHANS Home Health Care where she is currently employed as a medical social worker and community liaison. She accepted the role of Director of Social Services for the Oasis Clinic in June of 2007.

Sara is a student at Bowdoin College and does research and work with the Oasis Clinic and the Oasis Prescription Assistance Program. She says working at Oasis is incredible, and that she is inspired by everyone at Oasis and their commitment to providing quality health care for all.

Peggy staffs the office, answers phones, greets patients and assists the clinic with clerical and administrative tasks.

Irene provides administrative support to the Oasis Health Center. Some of her many responsibilities include answering phone, preparing correspondences, preparing labs for practitioner review and preparing medical records for clinics. She assists the Oasis Community Prescription Assistance Coordinator in processing application and medication. She also provides fruit and entertainment daily.
